IDT Skate Elite
IDT Skate Elite roller skis - extra long handlebar for a more ski-like feel and balanced centre of gravity. Made in Norway. Three different speeds (RM1, RM2, RM3).
The IDT Skate Elite roller skis are known to many skiers as the training rollerski of the Norwegian national team. Due to the extra-long spar with 715mm length (centre distance) and a lightweight aluminium tube, the IDT Skate Elite has a balanced centre of gravity (the rollerski lies better on the foot and the rear wheel does not drag on the ground when retrieving after the push-off). In addition, the long wheelbase enables a high flex of the handlebar, which brings a ski-like feeling to summer on tarmac.
The IDT Skate Elite is equipped with a rubber wheel that has good grip (even in wet conditions) and a long service life. The IDT Skate Elite is available in RM1, RM2 and RM3 versions. The Norwegians thus indicate the rolling resistance of the tyres, which is broken down as follows:
- RM1 - fast speed (index 1) with low rolling resistance - similar to icy and fast conditions in winter on cross-country skis
- RM2 - medium speed (index 2) with medium rolling resistance - most commonly used version, orientated towards medium speeds on snow
- RM3 - low speed (index 3) with high rolling resistance - comparable to wet, new snow. Recommended for marathon runners looking for resistance or athletes who want low speeds.
The IDT Skate Elite roller skis come with splash protection as standard for riding in wet and damp conditions.
Conclusion: Thanks to the long wheelbase, the IDT Skate Elite roller skis provide a new and very ski-like riding experience in summer. The attachment and also the footprint are even closer to cross-country skiing.
