The MARWE 730 FX Skating is the extra long answer from Finland. This roller ski tracks more accurately and is therefore more ski-like than the shorter frames. The center of gravity of the roller skis is slightly lowered and the riding experience is less tippy.

The new FX roller skis are similar to the old XC roller skis. However, the frame material is completely new. The MARWE 730 FX Skating are made from a glass fiber reinforced composite material based on vinyl ester. The Finns developed it together with the Finnish technology company Exel Composites, one of the world's leading manufacturers of composite profiles. The solution offers an EOL-recyclable, durable roller ski frame with excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. The material of the MARWE 730 FX Skating offers excellent vibration damping and elasticity properties that are directly comparable to those of XC wood composite ski frames.

Only the stiff version is available for the long spar on the MARWE 730 FX Skating, as more load is placed on the frame.

The frame construction on the MARWE 730 FX Skating is hollow and the wheel fork plates are attached differently to the XC ski frames. This together with the new composite material of the frame eliminates the previous problem of cracking in the XC frames.

The MARWE 730 FX Skating have been developed over two years and tested by the Swedish national biathlon team and some Finnish national cross-country skiers. Several German Olympic ski champions have also tested these roller-skis.

The MARWE 730 FX Skating is fitted with the familiar 100mm polyurethane wheels. These feel very similar to skis and are particularly good in wet conditions. Thanks to the standard splash guard, there are no excuses in bad weather.
